What is a backlink/Link Building?
Surely if you have started to create your online project, and have entered forums, or read a guide to improve your positioning, you will have found that it is necessary to put backlinks or links to position your website.
A backlink is a link that links to another web, video, or any other part; with an anchor text or anchor text determined. The backlink positively influences the positioning of your website, due to the transfer of link juice or authority.
That is, they are those links that we find on another website, which take us to another destination. Even the links on the menu of your website are backlinks.
Although you can create a link easily from the top menu of WordPress. You should know that with HTML code is written as follows:
<a href=”https://graphicdesignsimypassion.net”>graphic design is my passion </a>
Why is it necessary to have backlinks to our website?
When we want to improve our positioning or SEO, we can find two significant factors divided into SEO On page, and SEO Off page.
The SEO Off Page also can be defined as Link Building. It consists of “getting” these backlinks from websites to improve your positioning. Like almost everything in SEO, it is debatable.
Almost all SEO support the Building link as an SEO technique. How it benefits, and in what quantity, that is more complicated to assess and will depend on each case.
Before it was easy to determine if a website was good for us to create a link, we just saw your PageRank and the higher the better.
Google, I stopped updating this metric and had to resort to other metrics of complementary tools. That is, the important job is “knowing” if a backlink is “good” for your website.
Types of Backlinks?
We can make different classifications of types of links, some of them would be. Whether they convey authority or not.
Nofollow: These types of links do not convey authority (as indicated by most SEOs). It is a label that must be placed when making the rel = “nofollow” link. Usually these links are found in footers, in comments, etc.
Dofollow or follow: They would be the rest of the links. If you do not place any tag, the link will be dofollow and will transmit authority.
How can we know if it is Nofollow or Dofollow? We can check it with the Chrome elements inspector. You can also install extensions in Chrome like No-Follow .
How to get backlinks?
This would be the mother of the lamb. Where can we find backlinks to our website? You have to know, that searching for backlinks is a technique sanctioned by Google. Google only wants links to reach us in a “natural” way. For a new project. So . in the end we have to take risks and look for links to our website. I mentioned some ways to get links to your project.
Guest Posting
This simply consists of writing as a guest on other blogs. Get in touch with other authors and ask them to collaborate in exchange for a “link”. You must provide quality content, and that is interesting to share.
Social networks
Create social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, etc) and share your articles. Do not get excited! Most of these social networks have nofollow on their outbound links.
Buying links or reviews
In the end money is the one that sends. If you have a good budget, you can buy good quality links. Where? Forums, pages of newspaper reviews, website for the sale of reviews on other websites, direct contact, etc.
